While Medigap plans generally don’t include extra benefits like dental or vision, they offer predictable coverage and fewer surprise costs, making them an attractive option for people who want maximum flexibility and financial protection.

Choosing between Medicare Advantage and Medigap often comes down to personal preferences: whether you prioritize low monthly premiums and added benefits (Advantage) or value broader provider choice and minimized out-of-pocket costs (Medigap). Both options can be excellent — the key is selecting the one that fits your health needs, budget, and lifestyle.
